Grit. Of all the qualities I acquired during my service to our country as a US Marine, its been grit that has kept me going. Starting a business is full of obstacles and challenges, setbacks and disappointments. Without grit, I would have quit a long time ago. Many other skills, such as small unit leadership help a ton, but that skill would be useless without the commitment and determination that defines military service.
