Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses is a Florida Corporation, Non-Profit 501c (6) Organization for the benefit of Veteran Business Owners in an effort to give Veterans the same opportunities as other disadvantaged groups with respect to selection for work, for bidding opportunities, and for project contract awards. It is the intent of FAVOB to help grow these Veteran businesses, as well as support and endorse employing Veterans as they return from active and reserve duty to join the civilian workforce.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
There are several aspects from my experience in the military that enable me to be successful in business. With that being said, there are six essential traits of an exceptional leader, and it has become more and more clear that these same qualities make up successful businesses and the team members who comprise it. Ambition, Drive and tenacity, self-confidence, psychological openness, realism and an insatiable appetite for learning.
